SAFE is a revolutionary anti-collision ADAS system that warns and automatically brakes the vehicle in case of a possible accident and is available as an aftermarket product that fits any vehicle at a price point that makes it easily accessible to all users, private or commercial.


SAFE is a revolutionary system that is a pioneer in the automobile safety industry in India. It is a front collision warning system designed to alert the driver in case there is an obstacle in the vehicle’s path. The system is designed specifically for the Indian road conditions and is based on relative velocity, time to collision and distance to the obstacle, which makes it quite accurate with less than 2% false alarms. Specific features of the system are :

1. It is a RADAR based collision avoidance system that works very well in poor light and harsh weather conditions
2. It consists of a long range detection sensor - 180 meters detection range, that will work on for vehicles travelling upto 120 kmph.
3. The system is certified by ARAI - Automotive Research Association of India.
4. The algorithm is quite intelligent to reduce the false warnings and is accurate enough to incorporate the 3 second rule and other parameters compatible with the ISO standard of FCWS - ISO 15623.
5. Detailed parameters of the systems are logged whenever the system generates alarm for the purpose of studying the driving pattern and incentivising the driver for the same.

How does it work?

The system consists of the following modules :Radar sensor, ECU, Gyroscope, HMI, Speed and power input from vehicle, braking and accelerator module.

SAFE is based on an intelligent algorithm that takes into account the speed of the vehicle, the distance to the object and the relative speed of the obstacle. Alarm 1 in green colour is the initial warning. Alarm 2, in yellow, requires an action from the driver. The final warning, Alarm 3, in red colour comes on when the driver is in the danger zone. It uses a RADAR sensor to detect obstacles in the front of the vehicle. Based on the inputs from the RADAR, it will be sent to the ECU for analysis and the respective output would be given to the HMI, braking, accelerator or data sent to the cloud.

Where is it fitted?

The system can be fitted in any aftermarket 4 plus wheeler vehicle and the installation time takes not more than 2-3 hours. The RADAR sensor is fitted on the front bumper of the vehicle. ECU is inside of the dashboard, gyroscope in the middle of the cabin on the floor with the harness towards the front side of the vehicle, and the HMI on the top of the dashboard visible to the driver.
